Oil Mills and Milling Equipment

Vegetable oils are produced by either or both pression and solvent extraction of the oilseeds containing high levels of oil. Seeds, fruits, or leaves of some trees and  industrial plants are also treated similarly to obtain vegetable oils. Seeds need to be prepared, fragmented, and conditioned to proper moisture and temperature for efficient expulsion of the oil or for extraction.Kumar Metal Industries manufactures expeller presses for pre- and full-pression (to obtain meals with less than 10 % oil content from seeds containing high levels of oil) which they have developed themselves over the years and obtained “Excellent Export Product” award. They also manufacture machinery for breaking, dehulling, separating, and flaking the seeds as well as necessary materials handling equipment and boilers required in an oil mill.

Design, installation and comissioning of complete oil mills are undertaken as turnkey projects, or machinery may be supplied seperately depending on customer’s requirements.
